Jade Jagger, daughter of Mick Jagger, has opened a glamorous restaurant in the jet set hot spot of Bodrum, Turkey.
Last night, the daughter of Rolling Stone Mick Jagger joined forces with millionaire nightclub owner Suleyman Demir to open The Secret Garden Restaurant in Bodrum, Turkey, in the world’s largest outdoor nightclub, Halikarnas.
The restaurant, specialising in French cuisine, is located in a spectacular open air, sea side location and has been designed by Jade Jagger for the Halikarnas nightclub, a celebrity hang out.
Jade Jagger says: “I learnt to cook at a really early age, and good food and great flavours are important to me. I have designed the space so it will appeal to a sophisticated diner.”
Halikarnas nightclub first opened in 1979 and is the world’s largest outdoor nightclub. Its location in the Aegean playground of Bodrum has attracted a superstar clientele including Yves Saint Laurent, the Rothschilds, Michael Caine and Mick Jagger. The 5000 capacity nightclub offers a spectacular nightly dance show with world class DJs, laser shows, water jets and dancing. Bodrum is a favourite haunt of the jet set with its deep water harbour attracting super yacht owners like Bill Gates and Roman Abramovich.
Jade first came to Bodrum with her parents, Bianca and Mick Jagger, when she was six years old and says: “I have always loved Turkey and have many happy memories holidaying here.”
Jade explains, “We have a fantastic gold VVIP booth with the most amazing crystal chandelier that makes the space look spectacular. The elegant planting gives the area a sense of peace which works incredibly well even though it is part of a huge glamorous nightclub.”
“The idea of a world class restaurant at a nightclub makes perfect sense. Next year we will build a super yacht beach club at Halikarnas.” DJ’s performing this season at Halikarnas include Paul Oakenfold and David Morales.
Chef Nicolas Le Toumelin says, “I have worked all over the world, in the UK, Dubai and France and I have created a menu that reflects my love of seafood and my speciality – truffles. foie gras, lobsters, all play a part!”
