Famous Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, owner of one of the world’s most legendary clubs, “Billionaire” announced that he will open a new Billionaire club in Bodrum.
Briatore is investing in Turkey with clubs in Istanbul and Bodrum. The Billionaire club in Italy is to close because of the economic downturn in the tightly controlled country and bureaucracy has become unbearable.
“I’ve decided I will no longer invest in Italy,†Mr Briatore said, in a decision described by the Italian media as the end of an era. “I’m sick and tired of the bureaucracy in this country. We create employment and opportunities, but obtaining permits is always a struggle.†My Investments are now in Turkey and living in Dubai, “he said.
For more than a decade legendary Billionaire club on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda in Italy has hosted a champagne-quaffing jet set of supermodels, oligarchs and Hollywood stars.
The club has hosted celebrities such as Heidi Klum, the supermodel, Mike Tyson, the boxer, and the actor Denzel Washington.
Its super-wealthy customers, who park their Ferraris and Lamborghinis outside and pay up to 800 euros for a bottle of Cristal Champagne, will be able to find their fun in Bodrum soon.
