Gumbet is named after Kümbet – these numerous white-domed cisterns in the area.
Gumbet beach is located next to bodrum center. A great little beach. Very clean and very easily accessible by all. As with all Turkish beaches, there are no charges for sunbeds and the umbrellas, but, please eat or drink at the establishment opposite.
The sandy beach, a mecca for sun warshippers, is within easy walking distance of the town and most hotels, making Gumbet a favourite spot for families with children. Cafes and bars are proliferate along the beach, and there are plenty of fun watersports for the young and the young at heart.
The nightlife in Gumbet is just a few streets away and is also good for families even if it is called Bar Street.
If you are into water sports crowded and loud fun beaches then stay in gumbet, if you like private beach loud music and big cushions to lie down orange club in gumbet is the place to go…it also turns into a beach club at night.. sea is much cleaner than central gumbet.
